Hosiery
Fine hosiery is among the most demanding categories in intimates. A single seam mistake or denier inconsistency reads as a flaw across the entire leg.
About this collection
Fine hosiery is one of the most demanding categories in intimates. A single seam mistake or denier inconsistency reads as a flaw across the whole leg, and the difference between mid-tier hosiery and high-end hosiery shows up after the second or third wear, when the cheaper pair has already snagged.
This collection brings together pantyhose, hold-up stockings, and patterned legwear from Wolford, Falke, and Ludique, in weights running from barely-there sheers through opaque winter deniers.
From the fitting room: hosiery sizing depends more on height than on dress size, so a tall woman will need to size up regardless of her bra band size. Wolford is known for its tall sizing; Falke runs more proportionally. Hand-wash or use a delicate-cycle wash bag to extend the life of fine deniers, and air-dry rather than tumble-dry.

Stockings, Sheer Tights & Luxury Hosiery
Hosiery is the category where the difference between good and cheap shows up fastest — usually within the second wear. Journelle's hosiery edit covers the full range: sheer tights and stockings for eveningwear, thigh high stockings to pair with a garter belt, opaque tights for cooler months, and patterned styles from houses that actually engineer the leg. Sheer tights in 10–15 denier are a staple for dresses and skirts year-round; opaque styles in 40–80 denier carry through winter. Women's stockings and fine-denier sheer tights hold their shape and resist snagging in a way that drugstore hosiery doesn't — the difference in cost is significantly smaller than the difference in longevity. All hosiery is final sale.
